Proposed Medicaid Bill Hurts Part-time Employees
When MI lawmakers create a new bill, shouldn't they figure out how much it's going to cost the state? And yet with the new proposed changes to Medicaid that just passed the Senate, not only do they not know how much it will cost to implement, they also don't know how much it will save us.
The one cost we know for sure? The cost to low-wage workers whose employers don't give them 29 hours/week (think: retail and food service) -- this bill will cost them their health care coverage. These changes rushed through the Senate are NOT smart.
